West House is a former farm house centrally situated in the unspoilt village of North Cowton. Just ten minutes from Scotch Corner on the A1 it is one of the oldest houses in the village and is thought to have been a coach house early in its history. There is an excellent pub/ restaurant called "The Blacksmiths Arms" in the village just a five minute walk away.

West House offers two double rooms, one with a four-poster bed and one twin bedded room which can be turned into a "super king" if required. Two of these rooms have their original coal fireplaces. All bed linen and towels are provided. The comfortable sitting room has a Victorian Yorkshire Range, television, video and local information. guests have the use of a modern kitchen with washing machine, fridge-freezer, cooker and microwave.
